OK, it's me again

currently i hosted threa domain names from uni.cc here: balidirectory.uni.cc, dwikristianto.uni.cc, gkjw.uni.cc

i check to uni.cc, all of them already pointed to ns1 & ns2.stonerocket.co.uk
i already reset that in uni.cc and hopefully for the next refresh it will solve the problem.

actually, i tried to add subdomain to dwikristianto.uni.cc (demos and acuaff subdomain) since it failed i tried to add to balidirectory.uni.cc and no luck.
both of them failed.

i checked with dig (locally),
only gkjw.uni.cc and dwikristianto.uni.cc having right dns record to ns1 & ns2.stonerocket.co.uk
balidirectory.uni.cc still pointed to ns3 & ns4.shoutserv.com

the long story is,
i try another freehost and pointed balidirectory.uni.cc there, since their server is slow and found stonerocket is FAST, i moved here.
could be this cause that problems ??

Just a question, have you ever use shoutserv with balidirectory.uni.cc?

yeah, the old freehost using shouthserv as nameserver.
but, since i move here, i already pointing it to stonerocket.co.uk

SO that is why... Looks like it's UNI.cc's fault after all.

Cause if you'll analyze the sequence, is looks like UNI.cc's nameserver included shoutserv in your entry even after you already changed everything to SR's server.

Looks like you just need to wait until UNI.cc has totally propagated.

Yeah [try to read previous posts and you'll see that] I am getting that error too...

Just as I said earlier, it could be because of what DJB did sometime ago.

@Blaster: Do you have access to /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf and proftpd.conf?

Looks like DJB solved Mikmadsen's account by tweaking those.

Is there something that sounds like "Allow Creation of Subdomains for Domains that resolve to other servers" that can be turned on too?

I would rather not touch any of that. I don't want to mess anything up. Once DJB gets online he can deal with that. Untill then i guess you just have to wait.

I have problems with .uni.cc not working on my PC?

Our problem is, when we try to add a subdomain for an addon UNI.cc domain, it returns an error that says:



We understand that if not for DJB's tweak, we shouldn't even be able to park or add UNI.cc domains.



Then in order to solve Milkmadsen's problem, he manually edited httpd.conf and proftpd.conf to add a certain domain.



Can you do the same thing for our domains? I mean manually adding 'em to the httpd.conf and proftpd.conf?

Or is there a setting that sounds like "Allow Creation of Subdomains for Domains that resolve to other servers" that can be turned on too?

i have new things here.

recenty i got a give away hosting account with 1Gig space, so i do some experiments on it especially with uni.cc domains
( uni.cc domain are my only domains )

1. uni.cc subdomain
i already got a sub domain from the hosting company, so i add on one uni.cc domain there, of course using their ns servers (baliwebdesign.uni.cc).
once it's successful to addon, i add couple sub domain there and it works
ayayoga.baliwebdesign.uni.cc
acunetwork.baliwebdesign.uni.cc
mydemos.baliwebdesign.uni.cc

notes:
- i have to use directory selected by cpanel, or the subdomain will be "server not found".
weird !!!
- i've check all the ns records using dig, all of the subdomain of baliwebdesign.uni.cc having exact records like baliwebdesign.uni.cc



2. balidirectory.uni.cc case
balidirectory hosted here but the ns still pointing to another server

(i do this with another uni.cc domain, ie: baliwebdesign.uni.cc)
steps :
a. delete the addon domain from cpanel
b. delete the domain from uni.cc
c. add the domain again without setting anything
d. wait 24hours until dig result "nothing"
e. at uni.cc, set to correct ns server for baliwebdesign.uni.cc
f. addon domain from cpanel
g. success.

note:
point d. it depend on refresh schedule of uni.cc servers and propagated records in the internet. i make sure everything clearup by waiting 24 hours

I mean do you mean if I'll start over again I can make it work?

EDIT:
Not effective for me. Added a new UNI.cc domain so its entirely a fresh process, but still it's not working.

i did that in another hosting, and it work.

so, the problem is here as you reported also.
